How does ExitRight® Work?
Resigning employees receive an ExitRight® packet explaining the third party exit interview process. This packet includes a unique password for each terminating employee which allows HSD® to determine if the employees respond by mail, phone, or web interview. The password also promotes openness among respondents by providing a degree of confidentiality. If employees do not respond, HSD® will contact them and conduct a phone interview. Our approach to data collection results in a 65% contact rate or higher - the highest in the industry.

Period reports containing an Executive Summary, Demographic Data Sets and Comments are delivered on a cycle determined by the client, i.e. annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. Each report details ExitRight®'s background and methodology and statistically analyzes the results of the completed interviews so that you have a thorough understanding of your data from many perspectives. These reports help identify the turnover cause trends and changes within your organization. Narrative comments collected during the interview process are faithfully recorded and included in period reports. Dynamic Data Sets are provided with each period report and contain the results to every completed interview. The data is presented in a fashion to allow your organization to own the data. HSD® offers tiered pricing based on the number of exiting employees. Clients are billed only for the number of completed interviews. Initial start-up costs depend upon the interview design and length, demographic reporting parameters, the method of data collection, and the frequency and complexity of reports generated. HSD® can have a client implemented on ExitRight® in two weeks if the corporate culture is fast-acting and decisive. Foreign language services are available and are priced separately.
For the average client, a year's subscription to ExitRight® and ExitRightNow® typically equals the cost of losing one employee. That means ExitRight® can pay for itself if the data is utilized to avoid just one termination.
