Recruiter Access to Exit Data

When using exit data in your organization, it’s important for recruiters to have access to exit data and commentary gathered from key job functions within your organization.   ExitRight interviews include specific questions about the manager, co-workers, work policies, career advancement, training, recognition and rewards, work-life balance, and more, that can uncover the factors that cause turnover.  Based on ExitRight’s experience conducting over 78,000 exit interviews, 40 percent leave in the first year, making it all the more critical for recruiters to have knowledge of exit interview themes.

A question to consider adding to your exit interview is:  What do recruiters and the hiring manager need to know about your position that they may not be aware of?  What advice would you give them in hiring your replacement?

Enhancements to ExitRight Findings

Human Systems Development® has completed a small series of reporting enhancements for our exit interview clients. These improvements categorize turnover cause findings into dimensions of employer driven causes (more controllable) and employee driven causes (less controllable). This better enables our clients to focus on retention solutions within their control.  “Many of our most significant enhancements are the result of listening carefully to our clients.  Their suggestions, questions and recommendations are extremely important to us,” said President and Founder Deb Dwyer.  “I believe that is one characteristic that defines HSD® from competitors: our dedication to responding to changing needs of our client base.  ”These developments were designed to enrich the client’s ability to process the findings in a meaningful way and are reflected both on period reports and on ExitRightNow®, the online tool for viewing results of interviews 24/7.
