Biography of Founder and Owner
Human Systems Development® was founded in 1992 to help organizations make improvements using survey guided, fact based data. Since inception, HSDŽ has provided services to Fortune 1000 companies and numerous privately held companies. HSDŽ is a leading resource for surveys and metrics in the non-profit sector as well.
During its tenure, HSD® has continually invested in new product lines as well as enhancements to their existing offerings. Following on the heels of the initial service offerings, including MBTI Workshops, HSD®’s proprietary software system for employee surveys was launched in 1992 with additional enhancements implemented during the mid 1990's. By 1996, enough responses had been accumulated to establish an external database of norms for employee surveys. HSD®’s School Character Survey was also developed during this time frame.
The late 1990's saw the introduction of HSD®’s first multi-rater, 360 Introspect Feedback tool and first customer survey. The employee satisfaction survey database expanded to 185,000 respondents and currently nears 500,000 respondents. Collection of data kept pace with emerging technologies to include electronic collection of responses. Additionally, in 1999, HSD®’s exit interview process, ExitRight® successfully launched. Now ExitRight® represents about 60% of HSD®’s service offering.
Clients who desire to reduce their turnover have also requested help in understanding the transition issues with new employees. With HSD®’s New Hire Feedback®, clients are able to pinpoint barriers and roadblocks that may hinder retention.
In the early 21st century, upgrades to existing systems included continual investment in technology to enhance electronic collection of responses and greater access to responses for clients, including our private and secure web site to permit 24/7/365 access to all survey findings and exit interview results. New methods of displaying results live enable our client groups to efficiently disseminate findings avoiding additional cost and analysis. HSD's release of its filtered ad hoc reporting tool truly enables clients to prepare customized reports instantly.
HSD® plans the introduction of www.referenceright.com® in 2009 and will also promote use of its Safe Work Culture survey to reduce accidents in the workplace.
